I've kept with BT to have the security offered, capacity and 'why rock the boat when everything works' and so I was always pretty happy until this year. Sometimes the mail is arriving in inbox, but sending is just soul destroying and this is having a huge impact on my work. I have a several sub accounts - each with different passwords - and after re-setting p/ws AGAIN - I can access my main account and one sub.

Like other comments I can sign in through web and actually, most of the time can download and send mail on my iPhone, but that's getting more problematic too. I was BtYahooMail initially and had no real problems setting up internet accounts into Mail on laptop or phone once finding out about the precise setting up for incoming and outgoing mail. A year which has become incredibly frustrating. I've had BT for well over a decade, and Macs for at least a decade with no problems until this year. I've reached the point that if BT can't deal with Mac products I should just move to provider that can. These MAC/ BT incompatibility issues have been going on for the 7 years i've had BT. I'm meant to have high-speed fibre but that's a joke, streaming is painful. Sending an email from my bt account on my Macmail takes about 5 minutes even if the contents is only word "test." My other non bt accounts won't send emails at all. That seems to have excaberated my wifi/ sending email dilemna. Last week I spoke to BT and due to slowness of Wifi they had me reset my SmartHub to factory default settings.
